In the Dale Carnegie class that I took, we were asked to describe our
fellow class members. It was very interesting to find out how my fellow
classmates described me. "Quick to smile" was one of the lines
that struck me. Another trait that people have commented on is my sense
of humor. I'm always cracking a joke or a funny comment about one thing
or another.
Writing this text for my "about me" page has been something
that I have been putting off for quite some time. I knew the old stuff
was... well, crappy would be one way to put it. I never have been good
at writing about myself, but this is my attempt.
Horses have always been a big part of my life. Ever since I marveled
at my sister's horse when I was three years old. I guess she is to blame
for my obsession with horses! My journey into the model horse hobby began
when I began collecting Breyers in 1989. I had three in my collection
before I became a collector (bay stock horse stallion and palomino grazing
mare and foal - all of which I still have). It was only a few short years
later that I discovered the model horse hobby. I began customizing models
in 1994, and it has been my passion ever since. I view customizing as
a journey, or work in progress. I know there is always far more to learn
and improve upon, and I'm always striving to make my work better.
I currently do not own any real horses, but plan to as soon as it is
feasible. I absolutely adore Paso Fino's, Spanish Breeds, Appaloosas and
Paints, but I am a fan of all breeds.
Thank you very much for your interest in my work and in me.
Sincerely,
Sue
